Had to share some photos along with the video. A few days ago Stella just began spinning around in circles. This was not something we taught her to do. Amazing little girl, I happen to think. She loves to do it and giggles at herself when she realizes she's dizzy. What a funny feeling that must be when you don't know what it is. As all you parents know, we laugh several times a day both at and with our child, and her spinning herself around is one of those times. She's marvelous.

Pig Tails and baby dolls

Here is Stella wither her first baby and her first 'pig tails'. She's really been interested in a doll at the library play group we attend, so I just had to get her one of her own. She's been so cute with it. She's been hugging and holding her and also feeding her.
Some for you...

and some for me.

I don't know about this ball!

Stella was acting so funny about that ball. It had little nubbies all over it and I don't think she really knew what to do. It kind of creeped her out, but she was interested in it at the same time. It certainly was entertaining us. I love the way she scrunches up her shoulders. She does it all the time.

Father's Day

This is Stella's friend, Brady. They took turns pushing each other. It was absolutely adorable. There were a lot of crashes, but it was part of the fun.

Father's Day. Stella and Daddy read a book together.

Snug as a bug in a rug

You know that old saying...'Snug as a bug in a rug'? Well here is the picture!!! Stella with all three of her softest and favorite blankets. For as busy as she is most of the time, she still sets aside some time to cuddle with us. And we cherish the moments. I know that all too soon she will consider herself too old and grown up to snuggle and let's face it, that would be weird to snuggle with your 20 year old child right?!

The girl loves shoes

So, I left Stella's sandals out one day and she just played and played with them. She was trying so hard to put them on her feet. I give her an A for effort. She kept at it for at least twenty minutes. And she never got frustrated. I think, to her, just being able to stick part of it on her toes, so that it hung there, was considered a success. With the move, she's come across piles of my shoes here and there and is already trying to put them on her feet as well. This evening I bought her some new shoes, as she now needs a size 5. They're purple (imitation) crocs and she was trying to put them on as soon as we got home. I put them on for her and she wore them all evening till it was time to go to bed. I could tell she she was experimenting with how they worked on carpet versus the linoleum. And she just studied them on her feet. It was so cute and so intersting to watch.

Play time

As I've mentioned, Stella is really enjoying some of her own space! I wanted to share this video. She's been doing this a lot lately and all by herself. It's only when I come into the picture that she gets moving onto something else. The power was out this day after a minor storm. Typically I do clothe my child. :)

Some catching up

Stella and her friend Brady at his birhtday party today.
Ah, birthday parties are the best! You get to play with the birthday boy's toys!

Hey young lady! Just where do you think you're going dressed like that??!!

Her battle with cool whip. I think she won.

A great new toy Grandpa and Mimi brought

She's got the phone and the remote and is probably headed to find some keys

Well, I've been off line through the move and then some. With sooo many trips to Lowe's I just didn't have the heart to push about cable/internet with Randall. So anyway we're back now and ready for action. We have been incredibly busy with the new house. We are making progress slowly but surely. Everything from painting ceilings, to fixing leaky pipes, major yard work, changing all door stoppers, fixing garbage disposal and dishwasher (thanks Bill and Carolyn) more painting, scrubbing floors, patching walls, oh yeah and then there's the unpacking.
Whew. So glad just to be in our house. Playing some catch up on the photos for you..Stella's been having lots of fun in the new house. She's got a designated play area now which she loves and quite often I find her in there quietly playing by herself. The neighborhood is really nice, so we like to go on walks and visit the association pool.
