Stella really likes to play with Ruby and Ruby loves it too.  Until that is, it starts to cross the line.  Without fail a fun game of blankie in the face easily escalates until I have to become a ref and call the game for unnecessary roughness.  But for a while it's good and here are some snapshots of the 'good'

 As far as I'm concerned these are the best two girls in the whole wide world!

Stella Bella

We went to the library this morning. Stella listened to some stories and then all the kids painted this Japenese chery blossom tree.  She had a lot of fun and was really excited to do a "project"!  Ruby sat very near by in her stroller for the entire time as pleasant as could be.  She just loved people watching and was happy to be there.

Stella posing for the camera.  She was dancing around in the toy room in this getup!  :)  I looked and said, "Ohhh, it's princess Stella"  And right on cue she said, "Thank you Ladies and Gentleman"  Hahahaha!  I have no idea where she's has heard that and to hear her use it in the right spot even was so funny!  This girl is something else.  I have so much fun watching her imagine, play, dance, sing, paint, and grow up!  Love her!

news from the week

Ruby loves to help me with the laundry.  She will throw out every piece of clothing she can reach!

Ruby had her 9 month well check appt. this past week.  She now weighs 20 lbs. 15 oz.  which puts her in the 86th %.  She is 30" tall putting her in the 98th %.  She's doing great.  She took a small little step forward last week, but has not done it since.  She stands up all the time and can stand from a squatted position and get back down from standing very well and very controlled.  She loves to walk if you hold onto both of her hands and she's also been practicing walking behind that toy in the video.  She loves to play and each day spends more time on her own and happy, entertaining herself.  she loves to play with her sister and crawl after her.  Ruby absolutely loves it when Stella plays with her acting as if she's coming to get her.  Ruby will make a bee line for me and crawl up on me as if I'm base. 

We got a phone call this week and Stella has gotten into pre-school!!!  She was on the waiting list; this pre-school is very popular and filled up quickly last spring.  A spot opened up and now we are in!  I'm very excited for her.  She's going to love it.  Her first day of school will be Aug. 25th and she will be going two mornings a week.

Enjoy the video of photos from our travels. Starting June 11 up to North Carolina, over to Indiana, then the other way to Ohio, back to Indiana and southern Indiana, back up to Ft. Wayne and finally arriving back home in South Carolina! Whew! We had an excellent time and Ruby and Stella were amazing sports!
