It's hard always coming up with titles

Stella's first paint job.  She sat very still to get her toenails painted.  Pardon the lack of shirt.  She's been on a shirt-less kick lately.
This is Stella's friend Brady.  They had a good time playing with cars together.
We went to 1 of many birthday parties coming up for us.  We just are so lucky we have so many friends here.   This is Stella with Tess
Here is Stella with Chase.  There was a small battle over his sunglasses at one point.  I was very glad I had some sunglasses in her bag.  And check out that tiara!
Here's many of our crew.  Stella has six friends that are her age, only seperated by months.  All those six friends now have a little brother or sister.  We'll be adding ours to the bunch this fall.  Point is, playdates and birthday parties have become a lot more interesting, dare I say, hectic. But we love it.

16 weeks

16 WEEKS
Had my 16 week Dr.'s appt. today. Everything's going very well and most importantly I now know the date that we'll find out if it's a boy or girl...May 17th. Stay tuned.
Baby's heart rate was 145 today. We'll see what that means then. :)

a case of the Mondays

It's Mondays such as these when I do not miss my teaching job. These are the types of Mondays you can really look forward to. And I am very lucky to have them. Spending time playing dress up with my little Stella is so much fun. And just look at her; what a cute little princess!

Stella is 36" tall now and 28 pounds. We had her 2 year Dr. appt. last week. She's in the 98th percentile for height, and I think some of that is in the legs, as shown below...

She's definitely in 3T clothing now, she's just gotten so tall!
She even let me put on her clip on earrings. All great gifts from her birthday party.

What's new- Stella has been using the words 'thank you' unprompted and at the apropriate times. Not all the time of course, but quit a bit and it's so sweet. 'Please' has been used in that way as well. This weekend we planted lots of flowers and shrubs and Stella was a very good helper. She was very intersted in the worms we uncovered, but didn't want to touch them at all. She doesn't like bees at all, or anything that resembles a bee. Her dad mentioned at some point that all the, 'bees were nuts'. And they have been around here lately. Anyway, Stella will say 'bees nuts, bees nuts' and it's so funny. She loves being outside, but is happiest if Millie is out there with her. If Millie comes back in Stella will too to get her back out there. She says' Mimi come side'. When we go upstairs for nap time or bed time Stella is very adament about Millie coming along and says, 'Mimi come too' What will we do when Millie's time here is up? Oh, that's going to be a tough day.
I'm 15 weeks pregnant and am looking forward to my next Dr.s appt. next Monday. And a month from that date we will be finding out if this new baby is little brother or sister. Can't wait. Feeling so much better now too and that has been so wonderful.

My Montage 4/5/10 at OneTrueMedia.com

So many photos recently I decided to put them all together to share. Starting off with Stella helping her Dad wash the car! She really loves to help. Followed by Stella's first doughnut. This was the morning of her birthday. Matt and Kandi, Reagan and Maggie came for a visit later that day thru Friday, and we had a lot of fun with them. Stella loves those girls and asked for them immediately when she woke up in the morning and after her nap. She did this even a couple times after they were gone. I think the group hug says it all! Then this past Sat. there was a huge Easter 'Egg Venture' they called it. There were so many people and kids there and Stella of course had a lot of fun. And she was very particular about which eggs to pick up. While there Stella saw a little boy with his face painted like a tiger and she seemed fascinated by him and even followed him around a bit. It was cute. So, naturally, being the parents that we are we took her to get her face painted. The line was very long and I suppose we waited about 40 minutes. But we(I) just had to do it. Stella was having a great time exploring her stash of candy so she didn't mind the wait. We finally get up to the front of the line and ...she totally did not want anything to do with it! She kept saying, "no, no" we couldn't help but laugh and say maybe next year. Some of our friends were there and so they kids had fun playing and dancing together. It was a really neat event with a band, food tents, bounce houses and such.

So now we're current.

Stella's Party

It was a beautiful day for a birthday party! Couldn't have been any nicer!!! Very sunny and reached the 80's. It was a wonderful party with so many friends and family. It was at a great park here, called Cleveland Park. We rented out one of the shelters which was very close to a wonderful playground. So it's amazing that we were able to gather all the kids together for cake and gift opening. But we did and it was a nice time. Stella had a lot of fun and recieved so many great new things. It was a very happy birthday party.
